On November 26th, 2023, the Ashhwika Foundation, a leading mental health awareness NGO, actively participated in Rahgiri Nov ’23, a vibrant community event held at Connaught Place (CP) in New Delhi. The foundation utilized this platform to spread awareness about mental health and provide engaging activities aimed at reducing mental stress among participants. The activities included Mini Basketball, Puzzles, and a lively Zumba session led by fitness expert Payal Grover from Fitness Domb.
The Rahgiri Nov ’23 event at CP provided an excellent opportunity for the Ashhwika Foundation to engage with a diverse audience and promote mental wellness in a fun and interactive manner. The foundation’s stall was designed to be informative and inviting, featuring displays, brochures, and posters that highlighted mental health issues, stigma reduction, and available resources for seeking support or information.
One of the main attractions at the Ashhwika Foundation’s stall was the provision of engaging games such as Mini Basketball and Puzzles. These games were strategically chosen to promote relaxation, concentration, and stress reduction among participants. Visitors of all ages enthusiastically participated in the games, enjoying friendly competition and experiencing moments of joy and accomplishment.
The Mini Basketball game encouraged hand-eye coordination, focus, and teamwork, fostering a sense of achievement and boosting mood. Similarly, the Puzzles challenged participants’ problem-solving skills and creativity, providing a relaxing yet engaging activity to divert their minds from stressors.
In addition to the interactive games, the Ashhwika Foundation organized a Zumba session as part of the event’s fitness activities. Fitness expert Payal Grover led the high-energy Zumba session, encouraging participants to dance, move, and release endorphins. Zumba, known for its positive effects on physical and mental well-being, offered participants a fun and effective way to relieve stress and improve mood.
Throughout the event, volunteers and representatives from the Ashhwika Foundation engaged with attendees, initiated conversations about mental health, and provided information about the foundation’s initiatives, workshops, and support services. The stall and activities served as a platform to educate the community about mental wellness, reduce stigma, and promote a culture of well-being.
