Ashhwika Foundation

On December 16th, 2023, the Ashhwika Foundation, a dedicated mental health awareness NGO, had the privilege of setting up a stall at Tamana School located in Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. The stall was part of the Christmas celebrations and featured a delightful assortment of handcrafted products including Crochet Toys, Bottle Covers, Tod Bags, Cushion Covers, Sanitary Pads Covers, Speaker Covers, and various Christmas decoration items.

Tamana School, renowned for its inclusive education approach for children with special needs, provided an ideal setting for the Ashhwika Foundation to engage with the school community and promote mental wellness during the festive season.

The stall showcased a vibrant collection of Crochet Toys, meticulously crafted to reflect the holiday spirit and bring joy to children of all ages. These toys not only served as playful companions but also symbolized the importance of creativity and artistic expression in supporting mental well-being.

Additionally, the stall offered a range of practical and aesthetically pleasing items such as Bottle Covers, Tod Bags, Cushion Covers, and Speaker Covers, all crafted with care and attention to detail. Each product was designed to promote sustainability and conscious consumption, aligning with the foundation’s values of environmental stewardship.

An important addition to the stall was the Sanitary Pads Covers, adorned with festive designs, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to promoting menstrual health awareness and breaking taboos surrounding menstruation. These covers sparked meaningful conversations about menstrual hygiene and empowerment among visitors, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Furthermore, the stall featured a selection of Christmas decoration products, including ornaments, stockings, wreaths, and festive-themed accessories. These decorations added a touch of warmth and festivity to the surroundings, creating a joyful atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors alike.

Throughout the event, volunteers and representatives from the Ashhwika Foundation engaged with attendees, shared information about mental health awareness, and provided resources for seeking support or information. The stall served as a platform to educate the school community about the importance of mental wellness, reduce stigma, and promote a culture of empathy and understanding.

Feedback from students, teachers, and parents was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing appreciation for the foundation’s efforts in promoting mental wellness and offering high-quality handcrafted products that reflected the Christmas spirit.

The success of the stall at Tamana School underscored the Ashhwika Foundation’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences, raising awareness about mental health, and fostering inclusivity and empathy within the community. Moving forward, the foundation continues to advocate for mental wellness, support marginalized communities, and spread joy and positivity through its initiatives and collaborations.
