On December 16th and 17th, 2023, the Ashhwika Foundation, a dedicated mental health awareness NGO, participated in the Kukdukoo Fest held at the Soccer Ground of Genesis Global School in Sector-132. The foundation set up a stall as part of the Christmas celebrations, offering a delightful array of handcrafted products including Crochet Toys, Bottle Covers, Tod Bags, Cushion Covers, Sanitary Pads Covers, Speaker Covers, and various decoration items to spread joy and awareness during the festive season.
The Kukdukoo Fest at Genesis Global School provided an ideal platform for the Ashhwika Foundation to engage with families, students, and the local community while promoting mental wellness and supporting sustainable practices through the sale of handmade products.
The stall featured a charming collection of Crochet Toys, meticulously crafted to capture the essence of Christmas and delight children and adults alike. These toys not only brought smiles but also symbolized the spirit of giving and creativity, reinforcing the message of mental well-being through artistic expression.
In addition to Crochet Toys, the stall offered a range of functional and aesthetically pleasing items such as Bottle Covers, Tod Bags, Cushion Covers, and Speaker Covers. Each product was crafted with care using eco-friendly materials, promoting sustainability and conscious consumption among visitors.
An important inclusion at the stall was the Sanitary Pads Covers, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to promoting menstrual health awareness and breaking taboos surrounding menstruation. These covers, designed with festive motifs, encouraged conversations about menstrual hygiene and empowerment, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Furthermore, the stall featured Christmas decoration products, including festive-themed items like tree ornaments, stockings, and wreaths. These decorations added a touch of warmth and festivity to the surroundings, creating a joyful atmosphere for visitors to immerse themselves in the spirit of Christmas.
Throughout the event, volunteers and representatives from the Ashhwika Foundation engaged with attendees, shared information about mental health awareness, and provided resources for seeking support or information. The stall served as a platform to educate the community about mental wellness, reduce stigma, and promote a culture of empathy and understanding.
Feedback from attendees, including students, parents, and festival-goers, was overwhelmingly positive. Many appreciated the foundation’s efforts in promoting mental wellness and offering high-quality handcrafted products that reflected the festive season’s spirit.
The success of the stall at Kukdukoo Fest highlighted the Ashhwika Foundation’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences, raising awareness about mental health, and supporting sustainable practices. Moving forward, the foundation continues to advocate for mental wellness, foster community engagement, and spread joy and positivity through its initiatives and collaborations.
